Coronavirus Resources
In light of ongoing COVID-19-related health concerns, details around available services in our community are changing frequently.
Regarding Hub agencies who are providing assessments (VATs) to clients experiencing homelessness, we have the following updates:
Coordinated Entry hubs are not performing VAT assessments in person as a temporary safety precaution, effective immediately. Those in need of housing help should first call United Way’s 2-1-1 system to complete an initial screening by phone. Eligible households will be contact by GKCCEH staff to schedule an assessment.
If needed, Hope Faith will provide space and staffing (as available) to complete VAT assessments.
Hub team members are meeting to develop alternatives to performing assessments in person (such as performing VAT screenings remotely via phone) to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, in accordance with recommended safety regulations. As soon as plans are in place, GKCCEH will update CoC members via our website and email.
The GKCCEH team is working closely with stakeholders in the community to ensure that we are an active part of prevention of the spread of Coronavirus. The safety of clients and staff are of top concern.
